APPROPRIATING FROM NO. 297 SANITARY SEWER
SYSTEM BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND THE AMOUNT OF
$34,$41 FOR PAYMENT TO SEIGLER, "CLARK AND
WINSTON FOR GENERAL ENdDEERING SUPERVISION
OF CONSTRUCTION WORK ON TIE OSO SEWAGE THEAT-
MENT PLANT AND THE BROADWAY SEWAGE TREATMENT
PLANT;.PROV1DING THAT PAYMENTS UNDER THIS AP-
PROPRIATION SHALL BE MADE ONLY UPON MOTION OF
THE COUNCIL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 297
Sanitary Sewer System Bond Improvement Fund the amount of $34,541 for pay-
went to Siegler, Clark and Winston for general engineering supervision of
construction work on the Oso Sewage Treatment Plant and the Broadway Sewage
Treatment Plant, providing that Siigler, Clark and Winston shall assign at
least one resident engineer to the aforesaid projects subject to review of
need for this service with the City Council six (6) months after the start
of construction.
SECTION 2. That no funds shall be paid in accordance with
this appropriation except with the approval of the City Council on motion
passed by a majority of the Council.
SECTI(* 3, That the necessity of providing general engineer-
ing supervision for the sewage treatment plants creates a public emergency
and an imperative public necessity, requiring the suspension of the Charter
rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of
its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3) several
meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emer. `
gency and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said
Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed -finally on the
date of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO ORDAINED.
