WSNRN .s a certain 1.816 acre tract of fajnd Ws.s conveyed to the City to be used as a City Park and said land is adaptable for use by the City Fire De- partment and such use has been approved by the City Park Board by reimbursement in the amount of $6,000.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS; SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $6,000.00 from No -. 212 Fire Station Bond Construction Fund to reimburse the No. III Trust Fund - Park Land Development Fund for 1.816 acres of land in the Hopper Addition to be used by the Fire Department for fire training purposes. SECTION 2. The fact that it is necessary to reimburse the No. Ill Trust Fund - Park Land Development Fund for this land creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor, having declared that such public emergency and imperative public necessity exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed on the date of its intro- duction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Director of Finance CORPUMT E) 5 I 1955 TO THE MEMBERS OF 'f HE CITY COUNCIL CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS GENTLEMEN: FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN- SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
