APPROPRIATING THE FOLLOWING AMOUNTS PAYABLE TO NO. 102
CURRENT FUND TO REDGMSE SAID FUND FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DIRECTOR OF FOLIO TWOM AND
ENGIl LING AND CONSTRUCTION DIVISIONS IN CONNECTION
WITH THE VARIOUS PROJECTS OF THE PERMANENT IMPROVE-
MENT PROGRAM THROUGH APRIL 30, 1955: $5,237.52 OUT OF
NO. 220 STREET BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND AND $13,271.30
OUT OF NO. 295 STORM SEDER BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, The expenditures of the Director. of Public Works and the
Engineering and Construction Divisions are paid from No. 102 Current Funds and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 4060 appropriated certain amount of money
for reimbursing the No. 102 Current Fund for the period of January 1, 1955 to
April 30, 1955; and
WHEREAS, Reimbursement is made on the basis of direct labor cost, as
shown by attached schedule,made a part hereof by reference; and
WHEREAS, Additional appropriations are needed for reimbursing No. 102
Current Fund;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the following amounts
payable to No. 102 Current Fund in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No.
4o60:

SECTION 2. That the necessity for providing additional funds for the
reimbursement of the No. 102 Current Fund for engineering services provided for
various projects of the Permanent Improvement Program through April 30, 1955,
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity, requiring the sus -
pensiaa of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3)
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having deelared that such

emergency and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said
Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date
of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and .effect
from and after its passage, IT IS SO ORDAINED.

the contract, agreement, obligation, or expenditure contemplated is
the above and foregoing Ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of
Corpus Christi to the credit of No. 220 STREET BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND
and NO. 295 STORM SEWER BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND
Fund from which it is proposed to be drawn, and such money is not
appropriated for any other purpose.

SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT 15 INTRODUCED AMD THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS IN'TRODUL'ED� OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
