APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL SUM OF $4,751.87 FROM VARIOUS
BOND FUNDS TO REIMBUMSE NO. 102 CORRENT FUND FOR ADMINIS-
TRATTVE EXPENSE IN CONNECTION WITH PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM FOR PERIOD AUGUST 1, 1954, TO APRIL 30, 1955; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Certain administrative departments devote a minimum of ten
percent (10%) of their time exclusively to work required in connection with the
Permanent Improvement Program; and 11 .-.. -
W]IMU A.S, The expenditures are made from No. 102 Current Fund; and
WBIMEA9, The budget for the current fiscal year provides for ten per-
cent (10 %) of the expenses of said departments to be paid from bond funds; and
tiHREAS, Ordinance No. 4087 appropriated certain sums of money for
said reimbursement; and
WHEREAS, Additional appragriationa are needed
as shaven by attached
schedule, made a part hereof by reference;
NOW, =MORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE .CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated
from various bond funds
as indicated by the following table the additional sum of 44r751,87 to provide for
reimbursing No. 102 Current Fund for actual administrative
expense for the period
August 1, 1954, to April 30, 1955:

SECTION 2. That the necessity for appropriating additional funds
from various bond funds to reimburse No. 102 Current Fund for administrative
expense in connection with the Permanent Improvement Program creates a public
necessity and an imperative public emergency, requiring the suspension of the
Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date
of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3)
several meetings of the City. Council, and the Mayor having declared that such
emergency and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said Charter
Rule he suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its in-
troduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, IT 18 SO ORDAINED.

ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
