I. 8/15/55:1mc AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $3,452.40 FROM THE NO. 202 CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI WATERWORKS SYSTEM BOND CON- STRUCTION FUND TO REIMBURSE THE N0. 102 CURRENT FUND FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS AND ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION DIVI- SIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE VARIOUS PROJECTS OF THE PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM THROUGH JULY 31, 1955; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, The expenditures of the Director of Public Works and the Engineering and Construction Divisions are paid from No. 102 Current Fund; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 4218 appropriated certain amount of money for reimbursing the No. 102 Current Fund for the period of May 1, 1955 to July 31, 1955; and WHEREAS, Reimbursement is made on the basis of direct labor cost, as shown by attached schedule made a part hereof by reference; and WHEREAS, Additional appropriations are needed for reimbursing No. 102 Current Fund; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of,$3,452.40 from the No. 202 City of Corpus Christi Waterworks System Bond Construction Fund payable to No. 102 Current Fund in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 4218. SECTION 2. That the necessity for providing additional funds for the reimbursement of the No. 102 Current Fund for engineering services provided for various projects of the Permanent Improvement Program through July 31, 1955, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity, requiring the sus- pension of the Charter Rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that said ordinance shall be read at three (3) several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and imperative public necessity exists, and having requested said Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passages IT IS SO ORDAINED.
