HomeMy WebLinkAbout04350 ORD - 09/28/1955AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM NO. 212 FIRE STATION BOND CONSTRUCTION FUND THE SUM OF $4,290.9Q -FOR FURNITURE AND EWIPMENT FOR CITY FIRE STATION N0. , AS PER LIST, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS Fire Station No. 8, located at Kostoryz and Sunny - brook Drive, requires certain equipment, furniture and fixtures, to be installed therein as a part of the permanent improvement thereof, and it is necessary to acquire such furniture and fixtures and make an appro- priation for the estimated amount of such equipment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS- SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated from No. 212 Fire Station Bond Construction Fund the sum of $4,5©O.00 for the acquisi- tion of furniture and equipment for City Fire Station No. 8, a list of which equipment is attached hereto and made a part hereof. It is directed that such equipment be acquired in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter through the City Purchasing Agent. SECTION 2. OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
