AN ORDINANCE
AFPROPR'CATING THE.SUM OF $5,669.50 FROM N0. 102 CIIRRENT
FUND FOR ARi*iAT• PAYMENT ON II�RGENCY PLUM ING REPAIRS

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $5,660.50
from No. 102 Current Fund for a partial payment on emergency plumbing repairs
for the City - County Hospital, which amount is the second- one -third payment of
the estimated plumbing:costs to be borne by the City.
SECTION 2. The necessity for making the above appropriation in
order that the plumbing repairs at the City- County Hospital may be made
creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the
suspension of the Charter rule providing that no ordinance or resolution
shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordi-
nance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings- of.the City
Council, and the Mayor, declaring such emergency and necessity to exist,
having requested the suspension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance
be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in
full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO
ORDAINE D.

the contract, agreement, obligation, or expenditure contemplated in
the above and foregoing Ordinance is in the Treasury of the City of
Corpus Christi to the credit of No, 102 Current Fund
Fund from which it is proposed to be draws, and such money is not
appropriated for any other purpose.

ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE SUSPEN-
SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; I, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
