APPROPRIATING THE FOLLOWING AMOUNTS TO BE PAID TO No. 102
CURRENT FUND TO REIMBURSE SAID FUND FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
ESTIMATED TO BE PROVIDID BY THE ENGINEERING- BOND PROJECTS
DIVISION IN CONNECTION WITH VARIOUS PROJECTS OF THE FERMAN_
ENT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM DURING THE PERIOD FROM AUGUST 1, 1956
THROUGH NOVEMBER 30, 1956: $3,800 OUT OF NO. 202, CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI WATERWORKS SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION FUND; $400 OUT
OF NO. 212, FIRE STATION BOND CONSTRUCTION FUND; $26,400 OUT
OF NO. 220, 'STREET BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND; $17,100 OUT OF
NO. 295, STORM SEWER BOND IMPROVEMENT FUND; $5,100 OUT OF
NO. 297, SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM BOND IMPROVEMENT FUNDS PROVID-
ING THAT SAID REIMBURSEMENT SHALL BE COMPUTED AT THE END OF
EACH MONTH ON THE BASIS OF ENGINEERING LABOR COSTS; AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT OBDATNED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the following amounts
payable to No. 102 Current Fund in accordance with the provisions contained herein:

SECTION 2. That reimbursement to the No. 102 Current Fund shall be
made monthly on the basis of labor cost data to be furnished by the Engineering-
Bond Projects Division of the Department of Public Works to the Finance Depart -
went for Engineering Services,estimated to be provided in connection with various
projects of the Permanent Improvement Program during the period of August 1, 1956
through November `30, 1954, AS SI -IOW ON STATEMENT OF THE DI RECTOR OF PURL 1 C PIORICS,
HERETO ATTACHED.
SBCTIM 3. That the necessity for making provision for the reimburse-
ment of the Current Fund for engineering services provided for various projects
of the Permanent Program creates a public emergency and an imperative public nec-
essity, requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu-
tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that said
ordinance shall be read at three (3) several meetings of the City Council, and
the Mayor having declared that such emergency and imperative public necessity
exists, and having requested said Charter rule be suspended, and that this ordi-
nance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and that this ordinance
take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS SO
ORDAINED.

SION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL
BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, AND THAT SUCH ORDINANCE OR
RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL;" I, THEREFORE,
HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT AND PASS
THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED; OR AT THE PRESENT MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
