WHEREAS, The City of Corpus Christi intends to proceed with
the project heretofore described as Agnes - Laredo Project if3- 53 -181 which
includes the improvement of Agnes and Laredo Streets and the widening of
Laredo Street, and it is necessary to acquire the hereinafter described
real estate in order for the City to complete said project, said property
needed to be acquired being more specifically described as follows:
A tract of land out of the north portion of Lots 19
to 24, inclusive, Block 7, Patrick Webb Addition to
the City of Corpus Christi as shown by map or plat
of said addition of record in Volume A, Page 13, of
the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas3 more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said Lot 24 for
the northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 20 - 00' E along the east boundary line of
said Lot 249 a distance of 10 feet to a point for the
southeast corner of this tract;
THE14CE S 880 - 00' W parallel to and 10 feet south of
the north boundary line of said Block 7, Patrick 'Webb
Addition, a distance of 65 feet to a point;
IM14CE curve to the left in a southwesterly direction
along the arc of a circular curve having a radius of
370 feet and a central angle of 450 a distance of 85.78
feet to a point in the west boundary line of said Lot
19 for the southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE 11 20 - 00' W along the west boundary line of said
Lot 19, a distance of 19.90 feet to the northwest corner
of said Lot 19 for the northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N 880 - 00' E along the north boundary line of
said lots 19 to 24, inclusive, a distance of 150 feet to
the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
Containing 1885 squ#re feet of land.
W ERCAS, The record title of said property appears to be in
Dudley Jones, of Nueces County, Texas; and

WOREAS, The City of Corpus Christi is unable to arrive at
an agreement with said owner as to the price and value of said land
and it becomes expedient that said property be acquired by the City
by the exercise of its power of eminent.domain for said public purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA] M BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. In conformity with the premises, and in accordance
with provisions of the City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas,
the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, does hereby order the condemnation of
certain real estate in Nueces County, Texas, and the acquisition thereof
by the City of Corpus Christi by the exercise of the pourer of eminent,
domain of said City, said land being more particularly described as follows:
A tract of land out of the north portion of Lots 19
to 24, inclusive, Block 7, Patrick Webb Addition to
the City of Corpus Christi as sham by map or plat
of said addition of record in Volume A, Page 13, of
the Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, more particularly
described by metes and bounds as followsa
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said lot 24 for
the northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 20 - 00' E along the east boundary line of
said Lot 24, a distance of 10 feet to a point for the
southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 880 - 00' W parallel to and 10 feet south of the
north boundary line of said Block 7, Patrick Webb Addition,
a distance of 65 feet to a point;
THENCE curve to the left in a southwesterly direction
along the are of a circular carve having a radius of
370 feet and a central angle of 450, a distance of
85.78 feet to a point in the west boundary line of
said Tat 19 for the southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N 20 - 00' W along the west boundary line of
said Lot 19, a distance of 19.90 feet to the northwest
corner of said Lot 19 for the northwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE N 880 - 001 E along the north boundary line of
said Lots 19 to 24, inclusive, a distance of 150 feet
to the PLACE OF MINNIHG.
Containing 1885 Square feet of land.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed
to institute condemnation proceedings against said property and all the
persons who might have an interest therein and to proceed with said condem-
nation suit to its conclusions, with the intention in mind of obtaining
possession and title in fee simple to said property so that said construction
and improvement project may be commenced and completed.

SECTION 3. The public importance of this ordinance and the
necessity for the City to gain possession and title of and to the real
property hereinbefore set out so that said construction and improvement
project may be commenced and completed creates a public emergency and
public imperative necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
providing that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the
date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be
read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the fyor, having
declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the sus-
pension of said Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on
the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be
in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY
