D; ATM DECLARI3iG All EIIyRGEPICY. BE IT ORDAINED BY TPA CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORIUS CIZISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and or behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, a contract with Slevxlc Brothers for construction: of the Alameda Storm Sower, Golf Covrse to haloma, Project ?;o. '3`3 -4, as set out in the plans, specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Seerota'T, al l of which are made a Tart hereof by reference, and ' according to the bid of Slovak Brothers opened on the 6th day of AuLust, 1958, the said bid of Slovak Brothers being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated t'e sum of 6113,425.00 from No. 295 Storm Sewer Bond improvement Fund, of which $108,027.60 is for the construction contract, 05,397.40 is for con - tingencies, including L4 boratory tests or Engineering Services as re- quired. SECTICN 3• That the necessity for construotinf, a storm sewer facility and appurtenances to provide improved drainage in area per bonds authorized for this purpose creates a public emergency and eu imperative public necessity requirinb the suspension of the charter rule that no ordinance or resolutions shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor havinG declared 'L at such emergency and necessity exist, and havinz requested the cusps nsion of said Charter Rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such ordinance take effect and be in full force and effe ct from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAIMD, PASSED AIM APPROVED this /L Day of August, 1958.
