MOORE, M.A.I., REAL ESTATE APPRAISER, FOR APPRAISALS BY GREGORY S. MOORE ON 21 PARCELS OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, PORTIONS OF WHICH ARE REQUIRED FOR STREET AND RAILROAD RIGHT -OF -WAY PURPOSES IN CONNECTION WITH THE TULE LAKE HIGH LIFT BRIDGE PROJECT AND THE RELOCATION OF RAILROADS AND RAILROAD YARDS BY REASON OF SAID PROJECT, FOR A TOTAL CONSIDERATION OF $4,500.00; APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $4,500.00 FOR SAID FEES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, WHEREAS, THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS HAS BEGUN A PROJECT KNOWN AS THE TULE LAKE HIGH LIFT BRIDGE PROJECT WHICH INCLUDES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HIGH LIFT BRIDGE ACROSS THE CORPUS CHRISTI SHIP CHANNEL TO REPLACE THE PRESENT DRAW BRIDGE WITH NECESSARY ACCESS ROADS THERETO AND THE RELOCATION OF CERTAIN RAILROADS AND RAIL YARDS, AND; WHEREAS, IT 15 NECE55ARY FOR THE CITY TO ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY RIGHT- OF-WAY FOR THE AFORESAID ACCESS ROADS AND THE NECESSARY RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR THE RELOCATION OF THE AFORESAID RAILROAD LINES AND RAIL YARDS SO THAT THE PROJECT MAY BE COMPLETED, AND; _.._ WHEREAS, IN ORDER TO ACQUIRE THE AFORESAID RIGHT- OF-WAY FOR ROADS,— RAILROADS AND RAIL YARDS, IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE CITY TO OBTAIN AN APPRAISAL ON EACH OF THE TRACTS OF LAND OVER WHICH THE AFORESAID RIGHTS -OF -WAY WILL PASS SO THAT THE VALUE OF SAID RIGHTS -OF -WAY AND THE DAMAGES TO THE REMAINDER OF IF ANY, SAID TRACTSIMAY BE DETERMINED AND THE NECESSARY PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY. NOW THEREFOR, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. THAT THE CITY MANAGER IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND GREGORY S. MOORS, M.Q.I., REAL ESTATE APPRAISER, FOR THE APPRAISAL OF THE TRACTS OF LAND INVOLVED IN THE AFORESAID HIGH LIFT BRIDGE PROJECT OVER WHICH AND OUT OF WHICH THE CITY MUST ACQUIRE RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR THE STREET, RAILROAD AND RAIL YARD PURPOSES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF THE CONTRACT, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. 0 I EO SECTION 2. THE TOTAL CONSIDERATION FOR THE AFORESAID CONTRACT AND FOR THE APPRAISALS ON EACH OF THE 21 TRACTS OF LAND INVOLVED IN THE HIGH LIFT BRIDGE PROJECT SHALL BE THE SUM OF $4,500.00. THE SUM OF $4,500.00 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED OUT OF TULE LAKE LIFT BRIDGE PROJECT REMOVAL, BOND FUND NO. 230. SECTION 3.
