O. POTTOREE: A CGPY OF WHICH RELEASE IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HERECF, AND DECALR,jNG AUUMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute Release of Special Assessment as follows: Assessment evidenced by Certificate 143, in the amount of $108.63 against that certain property fronting 68 feet on the Southeast side of Kostoryz Road, described as being Lot 4, Block 2, Casa Linda Estates 92, an addition to the city of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, as shown by map or plat thereof of record in the office of the County Clerk, Nueces County, Texas, and the owner, thereof, S. 0. Pottorff, for and in consideration of the payment of such assess- ment. , SECTION 2. That, said payments having been made, the necessity of immediately releasing the same to clear the title to such property creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter Rule thatno Ordinance or Resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such Ordinance or Resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency to exist, having requested the suspension of said Charter Rule and that this Ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that this Ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY PASSED AND APPROVED, This day of April, 1959. And against the real and true owner or owners thereof, named as follows: S. O. Pottorff WHEREAS,Said Special Assessment was evidenced by such assessment Certificate No. 143 issued by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, on the 25th day of_ February , 1959 ; and WHEREAS, The said Assessment Certificate has been fully paid off, and satisfied, and at the time of its payment the City of Corpus Christi was the owner and holder of said Certificate and of all liens securing its pay- ment: NOW, THEREFORE, The City of Corpus Christi, Texas a municipal corporation, for and in consideration of the payment of said Special Assess- ment does hereby Release said property from all liens securing the payment of said assessment and 4he owner of said property from all personal liability created by the issuance of said Certificate and the other proceedings above referred to, and does declare said Special Assessment fully satisfied and dis- charged.
