WSEj=S. Robert W. Burr has served as Senior City planner of the City
of Corpus Christi. Taws for the past twelve years and has during all of
said period conducted his said duties with the highest efficiency, and
has been faithful to all of the confidence and trust reposed in him. And
has rendered service to the City of Corpus Christi -aced its citizens far
shove -the normal requirements of @aid position; and,
WHEREAS, the said Robert W. Burr has submitted his re@ignation to the
City of Corpus Christi, Tawas effective as of date of October 1. 1959,
resigning from the position which he has so faithfully performed; therefore

That the Mayor and City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas;
for and on behalf of the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi and the
citizens of Corpus Christi. assembled in a mating on September. 1959- 3
hereby express the sincere appreciation of the City Council of the City of

FOR THE REASONS SET FORTH IN THE EMERGENCY CLAUSE OF THE FORE-
GOING ORDINANCE, A PUBLIC EMERGENCY AND IMPERATIVE NECESSITY EXIST FOR THE
SUSPENSION OF THE CHARTER RULE OR REQUIREMENT THAT NO ORDINANCE OR RESOLU-
TION SHALL BE PASSED FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCEO, AND THAT SUCH
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION SHALL BE READ AT THREE MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL;
I THEREFORE, HEREBY REQUEST THAT YOU SUSPEND SAID CHARTER RULE OR REQUIRE-
MENT AND PASS THIS ORDINANCE FINALLY ON THE DATE IT IS INTRODUCED, OR AT THE
PRESENT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
