HomeMy WebLinkAbout05528 ORD - 10/21/1959Y AN ORDINANCE .AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 5305 PASSFID AND IPPROVEIBY TEE CITY COUNCIL ON THE 1st DAY OF APRIL, 1959, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE, CORRECT- ING THE NAMES OF THE OWNERS AND CORRECTING AND ADJUSTING THE ASSESSMENTS LEVIED AGAINST ABUTTING PROPERTY OVEN ON ALAMEDA STREET FROM THE SOUTH- EAST BOUNDARY OF DODDRIDGE STREET TO TEE NORTEERLY BOUNDARY OF OSO GOLF COURSE, AVALON STREET FROM TBE SOUTHEAST BOUNDARY LINE OF EVERHART ROAD TO TEE 60UTM1EST BOUNDARY LINE OF MAZDA STREET, EVERHART ROAD FROM ALAMEDA STREET TO AVALON STREET, ROBERT DRIVE FROM THIRTY FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF AVALON STREET TO FORTY FEET NORTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST BOUNDARY LINE OF MNWA STREET AND AIRLINE ROAD FROM ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER- LINE OF MAMMA STREET TO ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF MAMMA STREET; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEAS: SECTION 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No, 53050 passed and approved by the City Council on the let day of April, 1959, is hereby amended and said Section 3 of said ordinance shall hereafter read as follows, to -wits "SECTION 3. That in pursuance of said ordinance, duly enacted, by said City Council, authorizing and ordering the improvement of Alameda Street from the southeast boundary of Doddridge Street to the northerly boundary of Oso Golf Course, Avalon Street from the southeast boundary line of Everhart Road to the southwest boundary line of Alameda Street, Everhart Road from Alameda Street to Avalon Street, Robert Drive from thirty feet south of the south boundary line of Avalon Street to forty feet northeast of the northeast boundary line of Alameda Street and Airline Road from one hundred twenty feet north of the centerline of Alameda Street to one hundred twenty feet south of the centerline of Alameda Street, within the limits above defined, and in pursuance of said proceedings heretofore had and enacted by said City Council in reference to said improvements and by virtue of the powers vested in said City with respect to said street improvements by the Laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of said City, with particular reference to Chapter 105 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, (mown and shown as Article 1105 -D of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes of Texas, as amended, a there shall be, and is hereby levied, assessed and taxed against the respective parcels of property abutting upon said portion of said streets, and against the real and true owners thereof, whether such real and true owners or owner be named or correctly named herein or not, the several sums of money hereinbelow mentioned and itemized opposite the description of the respective parcels of said property, the number of front feet of each and the several amounts assessed against ease and the real and true owner or owners thereof, and the names of the apparent owners thereof, all as corrected and adjusted by said City Councils being as follows, to -wits Page 1 Bout-2 mat ffi d Alameda P ^i t to North Boudlary Lbm of Qso Golf count - TUE Cr PAVMM �`� Rot Mix Bwm and Sxfeat with l e lime O,WALtAM - MOS.
