The invocation was given by the Reverend Joe E. Brumbetow of the West. Helybts Baptist Church. City Secretary Bili G. Read called the roll of required Charter Officers and verified that the necessary quorum was present to conduct a legally consti- tuted meeting. Mayor Jones announced the issuance of the following proclamations: "TOWN SOCCER MONTH" - January, 1980; and "NATIONAL VOLUNTEER BLOOD DONOR MONTH" - January, 1980_ MayorJones called for consideration of appointments to Boards and Com- missions and briefly reviewed the appointments discussed during the morning Workshop Meeting. He noted that Mr. Joe Fulton, who was considered for the Mechanical Advisory. Board, is presently serving on the Building Code Board of AppealS and suggested that this appointment not be evade. The City Council concurred with this suggestion. The. firm indicates that, If authorized, they can complete their analysis within two months= City Manager Townsend stated that thio recommendation Is made because the .naval procedure is to have tha people who design the facility analyze the faci- lity.
