TEXAS:
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1958,
AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 21 -69 BY
ADDING ITEMS THERETO SO AS TO DECREASE THE
SPEED ON PORTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING STREETS TO
20 MILES AN HOUR AT ALL TIMES: PAINTER DRIVE,
ROOSEVELT STREET, SOUTHGATE DRIVE, EAST DRIVE,
BLANCO CT., AND ROJO STREET; AMENDING SECTION
21 -153, SCHEDULE I, ONE -WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS,
BY ADDING AN ITEM THERETO SO AS TO MAKE HIAWATHA
STREET, BETWEEN MORGAN AND BALDWIN ONE -WAY;
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; PROVIDING SEVER -
ABILITY;, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
•
SECTION 1. That Section 21 -69 11DECREASE OF STATE LAW MAXIMUM SPEED"
of the Corpus Christi City Code, 1958, as amended, be, and the same is hereby,
amended by adding items thereto so as to decrease the speed on portions of
the following streets to 20 miles an hour at all times:
"NAME OF STREET SPEED LIMIT EFFECTIVE TIMES
PAINTER DRIVE, from the west
curb line of Ayers St. to the
east curb line of Rojo St. 20 mph At all times
ROOSEVELT ST., from the west
curb line of Ayers St, to the
east curb line of Rojo St. 20 mph At all times
SOUTHGATE DRIVE, from the west
curb line of Ayers St. to the
east curb line of Rojo St. 20 mph At all times
EAST DRIVE, from the west curb
line of Ayers St. to the east
curb line of Rojo St. 20 mph At all times
BLANCO CT., from the north curb
line of Roosevelt St. to the
south curb line of Arlington Dr. 20 mph At all times
ROJO STREET, from the south curb
line of Roosevelt St. to the south
curb line of Arlington Drive 20 mph At all times"
SECTION 2. That the Corpus Christi City Code, 1958, as amended,
be, and the same is hereby, amended by amending Section 21 -153, Schedule I,
"ONE -WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS ", by adding an item thereto so as to make
Hiawatha Street, between Morgan Street and Baldwin Boulevard, one way as
follows:
"NAME OF STREET DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC
- HIAWATHA STREET, between Morgan Street MOVEMENT
and Baldwin Boulevard North"

SECTION 3, The changes as hereinabove set forth are to become
effective when the streets described are so signed.
SECTION 4. Publication shall be made in the official publication
Of the City of Corpus Christi one time which publication shall contain the
caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
SECTION 5. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid by final
judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any valid
Provisions of this or any other ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi to
which these rules and regulations relate.
SECTION 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith shall be and are hereby repealed to the extent of conflict herewith.
