AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING OUT OF NO. 291 PARR BOND FUND THE SUN
OF $11,185 FOR AWARD OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, FEES
FOR SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, APPRAISAL COSTS, COURT
COSTS AND COSTS INCIDENTAL TO ACQUISITION OF PARCEL
25 -A, BAYFRONT OPEN SPACE PARR SITE #3, PROJECT
NO. 291 -70-8; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of No. 291 Park
Bond Fund the sum of $11,185 for Award of Special Commissioners, fe® of
Special Commissioners, appraisal costs, court costs and costs incidental
to acquisition of Parcel 25 -A, Bayfrout Open Space Park Site 03, being
a parcel or tract of land owned by E. N. Fulghum, Jr. and wife, 011ie E.
Fulghum, E. J. Anthony and wife, Maxine Anthony, Paul Ramon and wife,
Dorothy Ramon, more fully described hereinafter, and being Cause No. 659
in condemnation proceedings in County Court at Law No. 2:
A tract of land lying immediately East of Lot "B" of a
replat of Lots 5 and 60 and all of Lots 6 through 12, and
Lots 53 through 59, Block 15, Port Aransas Cliffs Addition
to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by map
recorded in Volume 27, Page 44, Map Records of Nueces
County, Texas. Said property is the North one -half of a
tract that is sometimes referred to, and is shown by Bracey's
Block Maps of the City of Corpus Christi, as Lot B, Alta
Vista Cliffs Addition.
SECTION 2. The necessity to make the hereinabove described
appropriation at the earliest practicable date in order to take possession
of the parcel aforesaid for the development of the Bayfront Open Space
Park Site v3, creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity
requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolu-
tion shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction and that such
ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City
Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to
exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that
this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take

effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS
ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAIMM, this the _Mx C, day of September, 1972.
