SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
JUNE 16, 1987
8:00 a.m.
Mayor Pro Tem Mary Pat Slavik called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
in the Council Chamber of City Hall. A motion was made by Council Member Frank
Mendez; seconded by Council Member David Berlanga to go into closed session
to discuss personnel. The motion passed.
Mayor Betty Turner arrived at 9:00 a.m.
The Council convened at 10:00 a.m. to announce the appointment of Robert
J. Gonzalez as Municipal Court Judge.
City Secretary Armando Chapa polled the Council for their votes; and the
following resolution was passed:
RESOLUTION NO. 19795
APPOINTING ROBERT J. GONZALEZ MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE, PROVIDING FOR TERMS
OF OFFICE.
The foregoing Resolution passed by the following votes: Turner, Slavik,
Berlanga, Mendez, Moss, Pruet, Rhodes and Strong voting, "Aye"; Guerrero
absent.
Discussion followed regarding the appointment. Mayor Turner asked for
comments from the audience and there were none.
The Council meeting was adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
