HomeMy WebLinkAbout11452 ORD - 04/04/1973AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAND DRILLING ORDINANCE, NO.8879, AS AMENDED, BY DESIGNATING ADDITIONAL 40 -ACRE DRILLING BLOCKS TO ACREAGE ANNEXED BY ORDINANCE NOS. 9270, 10992, 10682, 10945, AND 10946, AND CREATING NEW DRILLING BLOCKS 1593 THROUGH 1612, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Land Drilling Ordinance, No. 8879, as amended, be amended by designating additional 40 -acre drilling blocks to acreage annexed by Ordinance Nos. 9270, 10992, 10682, 10945, and 10946, and creating new Drilling Blocks 1.593 through 1612. SECTION 2. The necessity to designate additional Drilling Blocks in the areas annexed by the aforesaid ordinances creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage,IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of April, 1973.
