HomeMy WebLinkAbout11686 RES - 09/05/1973JRR6cd:9- 5- 73:lst A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL AGREEMENT FORMS AND DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR $1 MILLION UNDER THE HILL - BURTON ACT TO MATCH THE $1,. MILLION APPROVED BY THE VOTERS ON DECEMBER 9, 1972 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER AND RELATED SATELLITE CLINICS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, • SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Corpus Christi, all agreement forms and documents necessary to apply for $1 million under the Hill- Burton Act to match the $1. million approved by the voters on December 9, 1972 for the construction of a Public Health Center and related satellite clinics. SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize the aforesaid documents in order that the construction of urgently needed Public Health Center and related satellite clinics may be commenced as soon as practicable creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO RESOLVED, this the Z6_ ZX day of September, 1973: ATTEST: f q.
