Mayor Turner called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m.
Mayor Turner made introductory statements and noted that applicant
Jesus Flores would be unable to be present for this meeting. She stated
that the applicants would be responding to the following questions: (1)
What are your qualifications?, (2) Why are you interested in serving on
the Council?, and (3) What do you see as the priorities of the city?
The ensuing applicants made brief statements in response to the
foregoing questions: T. Theresa Pasco, Michael A. De Los Santos, Jerry
Martinez, Olga Gonzales, fahriel Rivas III, and Cezar Galindo.
The Council went into closed session pursuant to Article 6252-17,
Section 2(g), to di muss the appointment of an individual to fill the
vacant District 2 Council Member position.
Mayor Turner reconvened the Council Meeting.
Council Member Guerrero made a motion to confirm the appointment of
Cezar Galindo to the position of Council Member District 2; seconded by
Council Member McCanb and passed unanimously. (M90-038)
There being no further business to cane before the Council, Mayor
Turner adjourned the meeting at 11:10 am.
