AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCELS 3 AND 4,
BLOCK 9, MEADOW PARR ADDITION, IN CONNECTION WITH
THE CHIQUITO PARK PROJECT; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE
NUMBER 162 FEDERAL -STATE GRANT FUND, ACTIVITY 4732,
CODE 501, $8,175, OF WHICH $7,575 IS FOR ACQUISITION
AND $600 IS FOR CONTINGENCIES AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES
RELATED TO CLOSING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS !
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute documents necessary for the acquisition of Parcels 3 and 4,
being Lots 5, 6 and 7, Block 9, Meadow Park Addition, in connection with
the Chiquito Park Project, said parcels being more particularly described
as follows:
Parcel 3
Being a tract or parcel of land, described as Lot 5,
Block 9, Meadow Park Addition, an addition to the
City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas.
'Parcel 4
Being a tract or parcel of land, described as Lots 6
and 7. Block 9, Meadow Park Addition, an addition to
the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated out of the No. 162
Federal -State Grant Fund, Activity 4732, Code 501, $8,175, of which
$7,575 is for acquisition of the aforesaid parcels and $600 is for coutlu-
gencies and incidental expenses related to closing.
SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the afore-
said documents and to appropriate the necessary sums in order that the
Chiquito Park Project may continue without delay creates a public emergency
and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter
rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of
its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at
three several meetings of the City Council and the Mayor having declared
that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension
of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date

of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after its pa sage. IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this th6j.5'dap of
