HomeMy WebLinkAbout13045 ORD - 02/18/1976• jkh:2- 16-76; 1st • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 12955, PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 31, 1975, WHICH ORDINANCE AUTHORIZED AN AGREEMENT WITH JOHN TUCKER, DEVELOPER OF LEXINGTON INDUSTRIAL CENTER SUBDIVISION, LOTS 19 AND 20, AND PERTAINS TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN LEXINGTON INDUSTRIAL CENTER SUBDIVISION, SAID AMENDMENT TO PROVIDE THAT SAID DEVELOPER'S SHARE OF COSTS FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS BE REDUCED FROM $18,500 TO $18,200; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 12955, passed and approved by the City Council on December 31, 1975, which authorized an agreement with John Tucker, Developer of Lexington Industrial Center Subdivision, Lots 19 and 20, and which ordinance pertains to the construction of sanitary sewer improve- ments in Lexington Industrial Center Subdivision, be and the same is hereby amended so as to provide that the said Developer's share of costs for said improvements be reduced from $18,500 to $18,200. SECTION 2. The necessity to amend Ordinance No. 12955 as herein- above set forth to correctly reflect the said Developer's share of improvements for the Lexington Industrial Center Subdivision creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule, that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction, and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of February, 1976.
