HomeMy WebLinkAbout13082 ORD - 03/17/1976• JKH:vmr:3- 3,5- 76;lst • TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $8,500 OUT OF THE SIXTH ENTITLEMENT PERIOD, GENERAL REVENUE SHARING RESERVE, ACTIVITY 6706, FOR AGREED AWARD OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, COMMISSIONERS' FEES, COURT COSTS AND APPRAISER'S COSTS, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 104, CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH PARR SITES, IN CONDEMNATION, STYLED CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI VS. JACK R. STILL, ET AL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the Sixth Entitlement Period, General Revenue Sharing Reserve, Activity 6706, the sum of $8,500 for Agreed Award of Special Commissioners, Commissioners' fees, court costs and appraiser's costs, all in connection with the acquisition of Parcel No. 104, also described as Lot 2, Block 23, Brooklyn Addition, and addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, being a matter in condemnation, styled City of Corpus Christi vs. Jack R. Still, et al. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the sums aforesaid in . order that the City may take possession of the aforesaid parcel in connection with the Corpus Christi Beach Park Site improvements creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of March, 1976.
