HomeMy WebLinkAbout13095 ORD - 03/24/1976• M:vp:3 /22/76 :1st AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE NO. 250 SANITARY SEi;R BOND FUND, FOR PROJECT NO. 250 -72 -9, ALLISON PLANT SLUDGE HANDLING EXPANSION, AN AMOUNT OF $16,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO TRANSPORT SLUDGE FROM THE ALLISON PLANT SLUDGE DIGESTERS TO A REMOTE AREA OF THE PLANT PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBSURFACE INJECTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund, for Project No. 250 -72 -9, Allison Plant Sludge Handling Expansion, an amount of $16,000 for the purchase of materials and equipment needed to transport sludge from the Allison Plant sludge digesters,to a remote area of the plant property for the purpose of sub- surface injection. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately provide the sums neces- sary to purchase materials and equipment for the purposes aforesaid in order to protect the public safety and welfare of the citizens of Corpus Christi creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the ay of March, 1976.
