HomeMy WebLinkAbout13194 ORD - 05/26/1976MG1:vmr:5- 12- 76;1st AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE ACQUISITION OF PARCEL 202 FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH PARK SITES PROJECT; APPROPRIATING AND REAPPROPRIATING $11,411.50 OUT OF THE FIFTH ENTITLEMENT PERIOD, GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND, WHICH AMOUNT IS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE NO. 291 PARK BOND FUND, PROJECT 291- 72 -12, OF WHICH AMOUNT $11,200 IS FOR LAND ACQUISITION AND $211.50 IS FOR INCIDENTAL COSTS RELATED TO CLOSING OF THE PURCHASE OF AFORESAID PARCEL; AND DECLAR- ING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute documents necessary for acquisition of Parcel 202 from Donald Lemon and Ronald Lemon for the Corpus Christi Beach Park Sites Project, said parcel I being more particularly described as follows: Lots ten (10) and twelve (12), Block seventy -one (71), BROOKLYN ADDITION, an addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof, recorded in Volume "A ", Pages 731, 732, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated and reappropriated the sum of $11,411.50 out of the Fifth Entitlement Period, General Revenue i Sharing Fund, which amount is to be transferred to the No. 291 Park Bond Fund, Project No. 291- 72 -12, of which amount $11,200 is for the land acquisition and $211.50 is for incidental costs related to closing of the purchase of the afore- said parcel. SECTION 3. That the necessity to authorize acquisition of the aforesaid parcel and to provide the sums necessary in order that the Corpus Christi Beach Park Site Project may be continued without delay creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to eixst, and having requested the suspension of MICROFILMED, JUN 161980 1-3134 the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of May, 1976 ATTEST: AMC- Ci Secretary MAYOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS APPRO D / y�: AY OF MAY, 1976 J.
