AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $7,136.74 OUT OF THE NO. 250 SANITARY
SEWER BOND FUND TO SUPPLEMENT PREVIOUS APPROPRIATIONS
OF ORDINANCE NO. 12498, DATED FEBRUARY 26, 1975, FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES PROVIDED BY McCAUGHAN & ETHERIDGE,
CONSULTING ENGINEERS, IN CONNECTION WITH THE DESIGN OF
IMPROVEMENTS TO THE WESTSIDE WASTEWATER TREATMENT
PLANT, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 250- 72 -11; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $7,136.74
out of the No.250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund to supplement previous appropriations
made by Ordinance No. 12498, dated February 26, 1975, for engineering services
provided by McCaughan & Etheridge, Consulting Engineers, in connection with
the design of improvements tothe Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant, applicable
to Project No. 250- 72 -11.
SECTION 2. That the necessity to provide sufficient funds in order
that the project aforesaid may continue without delay creates a public emer-
gency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the
Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the
date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared
such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of
the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of
its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the gd- day of
September, 1976.
