TEXAS: M AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE REVISED GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI HEALTH CENTER, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH CONTRACT IS ATTACHED HERETO, MARKED EXHIBIT "A ", AND MADE A PART HEREOF; APPROPRIATING $123,205.77 OUT OF THE NO. 268 HEALTH FACILITIES BOND FUND TO PROVIDE FOR THE PUR- CHASE AND PAYMENT OF THE EQUIPMENT FOR THE HEALTH CENTER, SUBJECT TO ADVERTISING FOR BIDS AND AWARDING EQUIPMENT PURCHASE CONTRACT, PLUS ADDITIONAL ARCHITEC- TURAL FEES AND RELATED EXPENSES, ALL APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 268 -72 -1; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute the revised Grant Agreement with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare for the Corpus Christi Health Center, a substantial copy of which contract is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A ", and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The sum of $123,205.77 is hereby appropriated out of the No. 268 Health Facilities Bond Fund to provide for the purchase and payment of the equipment for the Health Center, subject to advertising for bids and awarding equipment purchase contract, plus additional architectural fees and related expenses, all applicable to Project No. 268 -72 -1. SECTION 3. The immediate necessity to authorize execution of the aforesaid revised Grant Agreement for the purposes hereinabove stated creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the c'OX4 day of October, 1976: ATTEST: City e�ary 3 �" APPWD: THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (/lP DAY OF OCTOBER, 1976: J. You will notice that the applicant's share of the project is $1,217,203. Our files currently contain evidence of applicant's share as follows: $1,100,000 bonds - 43,450 provided by City for ineligible costs 33,050 ordinance to cover Change Order No. 2 $1,176,500 It will, therefore, be necessary for you to provide certification that the additional funds required are or will be available to complete this project. Please have the City Manager sign the application, and return it along with proper evidence of applicant's share. We will then be able to complete Section D, page 5, to reflect the proposed method of financing the non - Federal share. If we may provide additional information or assistance to you, please advise us.
