HomeMy WebLinkAbout13672 ORD - 03/02/1977jkh:2- 28 -77; .1st 0 - • AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE 111 TRUST FUND, ACCOUNT NO. 1761, $7,200 FOR AWARD OF SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS, SPECIAL COMMISSIONERS' FEES, AND COURT COSTS, ALL IN CONNECTION WITH ACQUISITION OF PARCEL NO. 1, EXPANSION OF INWOOD PARK, BEING A MATTER•IN CONDEMNATION, STYLED CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI VS. CLINTON MANGES, CAUSE NO. 750 -3, IN THE COUNTY COURT AT LAW NO. 3, OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 111 Trust Fund, Account No. 1761, the sum of $7,200, of which amount $6,800 is for Award of Special Commissioners and the sum of $400 is for Special Commissioners' fees and court costs, all in connection with the acquisition of Parcel No. 1, Inwood Park Expansion, being a matter in condemnation, styled City of Corpus Christi vs. Clinton Manges, Cause No. 750 -3, in the County Court at Law No. 3 of Nueces County, Texas. SECTION 2. The necessity to appropriate the sums hereinabove and to make disbursement of the funds in order that the City may take possession of the parcel for the purposes aforesaid creates a public emergency and an Imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its Introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the.eqjA� day of�, 1977. • ATTEST: 'City Secretary MAYOR PfO:T THE OF CORPUS HRISTI, TEXAS ARVVED: Qo DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1977: M��ROFl1MfD J.
