AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 53-252,
SCHEDULE III, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN
STREETS, BY DELETING THE PRESENT PROVISIONS FOR SOUTH
PADRE ISLAND DRIVE (S.H. 358) AT AIRLINE ROAD AND SOUTH
PADRE ISLAND DRIVE (S.H. 358) AT SOUTH STAPLES STREET
AND IN LIEU THEREOF ADOPTING PROVISION THAT WILL PROHIBIT
PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE (S.H. 358),
SOUTH FRONTAGE ROAD, FROM A POINT 1,160 FEET EAST OF AIRLINE
ROAD TO A POINT 900 FEET WEST OF SOUTH STAPLES STREET, AND
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE (S.H. 358), NORTH FRONTAGE ROAD,
FROM A POINT 880 FEET EAST OF AIRLINE ROAD TO A POINT 850
FEET WEST OF SOUTH STAPLES STREET; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLI-
CATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus Christi,
1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby amended by amending Section 53-252,
Schedule III - PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS, by deleting
the present provisions for South Padre Island Drive (S.H. 358) at Airline
Road and South Padre Island Drive (S.H. 358) at South Staples Street, and
in lieu thereof adopting the following provisions:
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE (S.H. 358):
(a) South Frontage Road, from a point 1,160 feet
east of Airline Road to a point 900 feet west
of South Staples Street;
(b) North Frontage Road, from a point 880 feet
east of Airline Road to a point 850 feet west
of South Staples Street.
SECTION 2. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of this
ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
