HomeMy WebLinkAbout15388 ORD - 02/27/1980• vp:2/26/80:1st AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1979-80 BUDGET BY AMENDING THE FAMILY PLANNING GRANT BUDGET, ACTIVITY 4686, BY APPROPRIATING $42,277 FROM 1978-79 EXCESS REIMBURSE- MENT MONEY TO BE USED TO FUND ONE PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE II POSITION TO WORK IN THE FAMILY PLANNING PROGRAM AND TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR DATA PROCESSING SERVICES AND OTHER RELATED EXPENSES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That ORDINANCE No. 15030, adopting the 1979-80 Budget for the City of Corpus Christi, as amended, be amended by amending the Family Planning Grant Budget, Activity 4686, by appropriating $42,277 from 1978-79 excess reimbursement money to be used to fund one Public Health Nurse II posi- tion to work in the Family Planning Program and to provide funds for Data Processing Services and other related expenses. SECTION 2. The necessity to amend the Budget as hereinabove set forth at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an im- perative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro- duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emer- gency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the Z7 day of February, 1980.
