HomeMy WebLinkAbout15390 ORD - 02/27/1980• jkh:2-20-80;1st • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1979-80 BUDGET FOR THE GENERAL FUND NO. 102 BY CANCELLING $16,236.68 BUDGETED IN ACTIVITY 3343, CODE 506, AND TRANSFERRING TO THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE; AMENDING THE 1979-80 AID AMBULANCE SYSTEM FUND NO. 119 BY APPROPRIATING $16,236.68 FROM THE GENERAL FUND RESERVE TO THE AID AMBULANCE SYSTEM FUND, ACTIVITY 6402, CODE 503, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPLEMENTING BUDGETED FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) MODULAR AMBULANCES FROM CAPITAL AMBULANCE SUPPLY, AUSTIN, TEXAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 1979-80 Budget for the General Fund No. 102 be amended by cancelling $16,236.68 budgeted in Activity 3343, Code 506, and transferring said amount to the General Fund Reserve. SECTION 2. That the 1979-80 Budget for the AID Ambulance System Fund No. 119 be amended by appropriating $16,236.68 from the General Fund Reserve to the AID Ambulance System Fund, Activity 6402, Code 503, for the purpose of supplementing budgeted funds for the purchase of four (4) modular ambulances from Capital Ambulance Supply, Austin, Texas. SECTION 3. That the necessity to amend the 1979-80 Budget at the earliest practicable date in order to acquire this public safety equipment creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the Z1 day of February, 1980.
