HomeMy WebLinkAbout15421 ORD - 03/19/1980• vp:3/17/80:1st AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONVEY BY WARRANTY DEED THE FOLLOWING: LOT 21, BLOCK 2 TO WILLIAM ALFRED GREGORCYK AND WIFE, GLENDA RAE GREGORCYK FOR $17,777; LOT 30, BLOCK 2 TO JOHN C. BIANCHI, JR. AND WIFE, MARY BLANCHARD BIANCHI FOR $15,759.73; AND LOTS 31, 32, AND 33, BLOCK 2 TO LEDFORD-CHEEK, INC. FOR $45,750, ALL LOTS OUT OF PARADE PLACE UNIT II SUBDIVISION AND ALL FOR A CASH CONSIDERATION, A COPY OF THE INSTRUMENTS CONVEYING THE SAME BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBITS "A", "B", AND "C"; AND DECLARING AN EMER- GENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: • SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to convey by Warranty Deed the following: Lot 21, Block 2 to William Alfred Gregorcyk and wife, Glenda Rae Gregorcyk for $17,777; Lot 30, Block 2 to John C. Bianchi, Jr. and wife, Mary Blanchard Bianchi for $15,759.73; and Lots 31, 32, and 33, Block 2 to Ledford -Cheek, Inc. for $45,750, all lots out of Parade Place Unit II Subdivision and all for a cash consideration, a copy of the instruments conveying the same being attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibits "A", "B", and "C". SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately authorize the execution of a deed in order to facilitate the sale of the above described tracts or parcels of land creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED this the ATTEST: C Secretary APP OVED: /2 DAY OF MARCH, 1980: J. Marvin Townsend, the duly appointed City Manager of the City of Corpus Christi, a municipal corporation of the County of Nueces, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($17,777.00) cash in hand paid by the Grantee herein named, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have GRANTED, SOLD and CONVEYED and by these presents do,GRANT, SELL and CONVEY unto William Alfred Gregorcyk and wife, Glenda Rae Gregorcyk of the County of Nueces and State of Texas, all of the following described real property in Nueces County, Texas, to -wit: All of Lot Twenty -One (21), Block 2, Parade Place Unit II Addition to the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, as shown by the map or plat thereof, recorded in Volume 45, Page 133, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above-described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in anywise belong- ing unto -the said Grantee, their heirs and assigns forever; and I do hereby bind myself, my successors and assigns to warrant and forever de- fend all and singular the said premises unto the said Grantee, their heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof. Current ad valorem taxes on said property having been prorated, the payment thereof is assumed by Grantee.
