Box 9277 Corpus Christi, Texas 78408 Dear Mr. Read: Thank you very much for your letter of April 5th and the copy of the Resolution passed by the City Council of Corpus Christi. I am always glad to hear from elected officials. This is particularly so when it involves a matter that concerns a situation that affects you. From what I have read in the papers it would seem that the proponent for banning vehicles from the beaches of the state is Senator Schwartz. I would suggest that a copy of your resolution be sent to him and other Senators and Representatives along the coast. I will keep the copy of the resolution in my files for future reference. Sincerely, William P. Clements, Jr. Governor WPC: jk
