SWIMMING POOL RATE SCHEDULE, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR ONE FREE PASS FOR EACH CHILD IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE THREE TO BE UTILIZED ON ANY ONE DAY DURING THE MONTH OF MAY, AND THAT THE FIRST SATURDAY OF MAY SHALL BE TERMED "SPLASH DAY", WHICH IS A FREE SWIM DAY FOR EVERYONE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: • SECTION 1. That the City Code of the City of Corpus Christi, 1976 Revision, as amended, be amended by amending Section 36-7. Swimming Pool Rate Schedule, by adding the following paragraph thereto: "The above and foregoing rates shall be charged to all individuals. However, during the month of May of each year, one free pass shall be made available for each child in Kindergarten through Grade Three, to be utilized on any one day during the month. The first Saturday of May of each year shall be termed "Splash Day" and shall be a free swim day for everyone." SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of this ordinance, stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance. SECTION 4. The necessity to make the hereinabove described change to the City Code at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shallbe passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 2nd day of April, 1980. \C).® ATTEST: ' , °1‘"' 0�\� y Secretary J7r -- T APPROVED: J.
