AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN ASSIGNMENT
TO THE REVOCABLE EASEMENT AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 14524 FROM SOUTH TEXAS PIPELINE COMPANY TO CHAMPLIN
PIPELINE, IMPERIAL PIPELINE, INC. AND SOLTEX PIPELINE; INC.;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute an
Assignment to the revocable easement authorized by Ordinance No. 14524
from South Texas Pipeline Company to Champlin Pipeline, Imperial Pipeline, Inc.
and Soltex Pipeline, Inc., a substantial copy of said Assignment being attached
hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize execution of the hereinabove
described revocable easement at the earliest practicable date creates a
public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension
of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally
on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall
be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having
declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the
suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally
on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the
9 day of April, 1980.

§ KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF NUECES
THAT in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) and
other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and receipt
hereof is hereby acknowledged, the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
does hereby consent to the assignment by SOUTH TEXAS PIPELINE COMPANY,
a Delaware corporation, as Assignor to itsstockholders, the undivided
interests shown below, to -wit:
Stockholder Undivided Interest
Champlin Pipeline, Inc. 37.5%
Imperial Pipeline Inc. 37.57
Soltex Pipeline, Inc. 25.07
in all of the rights granted by the City of Corpus Christi to South
Texas Pipeline Company under and by virtue of a certain Revocable
Easement dated the 14th day of November, 1978, which Easement is
now of record in Volume 1682 at pages 545-565 of the Deed Records
of Nueces County, Texas, the said Revocable Easement and record
whereof are incorporated herein by reference.

the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and the same person who signed the

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a
public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter
rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend
said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally,on the date it
is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
