AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A RELEASE OF DEED RESTRICTIONS
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND THE OWNERS OF
LOT 12, FORREST PARK UNIT 2, 3042 BUFFALO STREET, A
SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF SAID RELEASE OF DEED RESTRICTIONS
BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED
EXHIBIT "A"; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute a
Release of Deed Restrictions between the City of Corpus Christi and the
owners of Lot 12, Forrest Park Unit 2, being situated at 3042 Buffalo
Street, a substantial copy of said Release of Deed Restrictions being
attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. The necessity to authorize execution of the afore-
said Release of Deed Restrictions at the earliest practicable date, the
restrictions previously placed on the land by restrictive covenant no
longer being necessary or desirable, creates a public emergency and an
imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its
introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that
such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the
Charter rule and this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 11,2 day of April, 1980.

RELEASE OF RESTRICTIVE COVENANT

COUNTY OF NUECES
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
WHEREAS, Robert C. Myres and wife Nora Myres did execute
a certain Restrictive Covenant dated December 15, 1959, recorded
at Volume 875, Page 167 et seg of the Deed Records of Nueces
County, Texas, relating to the following described property
located in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, %exas:
Lot -Twelve (12), FOREST PARK ADDITION UNIT 2, a
subdivision in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas,
as shown by map or plat thereof, recorded in Volume 21,
Page 80, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas;
WHEREAS, said Restrictive Covenant specifically provided
that it was enforceable by the City of Corpus Christi, Texas,
and the City of Corpus Christi, Texas desires to release said
Restrictive Covenant and release the above-described property
from the restrictions placed on it by said Restrictive Covenant;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, upon
finding that the restrictions placed on the said land by the
said Restrictive Covenant are no longer necessary or desirable,
does hereby RELEASE and DISCHARGE the said Restrictive Covenant
and does hereby release and discharge the said property from
the restrictions placed on it by the said Restrictive Covenant.

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, on this day personally
appeared R. Marvin Townsend, City Manager of the City of Corpus
Christi, known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed
to the foregoing Release of Restrictive Covenant, and acknowledged
to me that he executed the same as the act and deed of the City
of Corpus Christi, and fo the purposes and consideration therein
expressed, and in the capacity therein stated.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a
public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter
rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend
said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally,on the date it
is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
