PARK AND TENNIS CENTER AREA 1. Shely Street, from Churchill Drive to Ayers Street, 2. Fig Street, from Tarlton Street to Shely Street, AS HEREIN PROVIDED; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 15128, passed and approved on September 19, 1979, be amended by amending Section 3 of said ordinance so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against abutting property owners on the following streets: H.E.B. Park and Tennis Center Area 1. Shely Street, from Churchill Drive to Ayers Street, 2. Fig Street, from Tarlton Street to Shely Street, as more fully described in the corrected and adjusted assessment roll, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and made a part hereof. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately amend the assessment roll as herein set forth creates a public emergency and an imperative public neces- sity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or reso- lution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 30 day of April, 1980. PARK AND TENNIS CENTER AREA This project is for construction of street improvements along the following streets: H.E.B. Park and Tennis Center Area 1. Shely Street, from Churchill Drive to Ayers Street, 2. Fig Street, from Tarlton Street to Shely Street. Improvements consisted of construction of 4' wide reinforced concrete sidewalks 4" thick on both sides of Shely Street and of a 6" standard curb and gutter section, 4' wide tied sidewalks and concrete driveways, 6" thick, as shown on the plans on Fig Street. The low bid was submitted by Asphalt Paving and Construction Company and was constructed in conjunction with improvements to the H.E.B. Park and Tennis Center. Abutting property owners have been assessed rates based on the low bid price and in accordance with the City's current assessment policy. ASSESSMENT RATES Curb & Gutter $5.20 per L.F.
