AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 15030, WHICH ADOPTED THE 1979-80
BUDGET FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI MUSEUM, BY AUTHORIZING A
TEMPORARY ADDITIONAL ASSOCIATE CURATOR, GRADE 29, FOR
COMPLETION OF EXHIBITS AS PROVIDED IN THE 1977 BOND PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATING $20,000 FROM THE MUSEUM BOND FUND FOR
PROJECT NO. 263-77-1 FOR THE PURPOSE OF REIMBURSING THE
CORPUS CHRISTI MUSEUM BUDGET FOR SALARY AND RELATED COSTS
OF THIS ADDITIONAL POSITION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Ordinance adopting the budget for the 1979-80
fiscal year, No. 15030, be amended by amending the budget for the Corpus
Christi Museum by authorizing a temporary additional Associate Curator,
Grade 29, for completion of exhibits as provided in the 1977 Bond Program.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $20,000
from the Museum Bond Fund No. 263 for Project No. 263-77-1 for the purpose
of reimbursing the Corpus Christi Museum budget for salary and related costs
of this additional position of Associate Curator as aforesaid.
SECTION 3. The necessity to amend the 1979-80 budget as aforesaid
in order that the exhibits as provided for in the 1977 Bond Program may be
completed at the Corpus Christi Museum creates a public emergency and an
imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that
no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its intro-
duction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several
meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency
and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule
and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and
take effect and be in full force and effec from and after its passage, IT
IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the /'day of May, 1980.
