AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ASSIGNMENT OF
REVOCABLE EASEMENT AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE NO. 14522
FROM CHAMPLIN PETROLEUM COMPANY TO CHAMPLIN PIPELINE,
INC., IMPERIAL PIPELINE, INC. AND SOLTEX PIPELINE, INC.;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to execute assignment of revocable easement authorized by Ordinance No. 14522
from Champlin Petroleum Company to Champlin Pipeline, Inc., Imperial Pipeline,
Inc. and Soltex Pipeline, Inc., all as more fully set forth in the Written
Consent to Assignment, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, marked Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. The necessity to execute the aforesaid Written Consent
to Assignment at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and
an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule
that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its
introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such
emergency and necessity exist, and having requested the suspension of the
Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its
introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the // day of May, 1980.

WRITTEN CONSENT TO ASSIGNMENT

THAT in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) and
other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency and receipt
hereof is hereby acknowledged, the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS
does hereby consent .to the assignment by CHAMPLIN PETROLEUM COMPANY,
a Delaware corporation, as Assignor to its stockholders, the undivided
interests shown below, to -wit:

Champlin Pipeline, Inc. 37.57
Imperial Pipeline Inc. 37.57
Soltex Pipeline, Inc. 25.0%
in all of the rights granted by the City of Corpus Christi to Champlin
Petroleum Company under and by virtue of a certain Revocable Ease-
ment dated the 13th day of November, 1978, which Easement is now
of record in Volume__1680 at pages 677-683 of the Deed Records of
Nueces County, Texas, the said Revocable Easement and record whereof
are incorporated herein by reference.

appeared R. MARVIN TOWNSEND, known to me to be the City Manager of
the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, and the same person who signed the
foregoing instrument and acknowledged to me that he executed the same
as the act of the City of Corpus Christi, and as City Manager thereof,
for the purposes and considerations therein expressed.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance, a
public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter
rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend
said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally,on the date it
is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
