Home My WebLink About15642 ORD - 07/23/1980• jkh:7-9-80;1st AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE MODIFICATION OF LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CORPUS CHRISTI BANK & TRUST COMPANY, TRUSTEE, THE SMALL BUSI- NESS ADMINISTRATION, AND CHAPARRAL AVIATION, INC., WHICH MODIFICATION OF LEASE AGREEMENT WAS AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE NO. 15041, DATED AUGUST 8, 1979, BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL LEASED AREA OF 1,770 SQUARE FEET OF UNIMPROVED GROUND FOR AUTOMOBILE PARKING, ALL AS MORE FULLY SET FORTH IN THE AMENDMENT, A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized to execute an amendment to the Modification of Lease Agreement with Corpus Christi Bank & Trust Company, Trustee, the Small Business Administration, and Chaparral Aviation, Inc., which Modification of Lease Agreement was authorized by Ordinance No. 15041, dated August 8, 1979, by adding an additional leased area of 1,770 square feet of unimproved ground for automobile parking, all as more fully set forth in the amendment, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2. The effective date of the amendment to the Modification of Lease Agreement shall be MICROFILMED oto • AMENDMENT TO MODIFICATION -OF -LEASE AGREEMENT THE STATE OF TEXAS 1 COUNTY OF NUECES WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 15041, passed and approved by the City Council on August 8, 1979, the City Council authorized execution of a modi- fication of lease agreement covering commercial hangars and fixed base aviation lease plots at the Corpus Christi International Airport, modifying the existing assignments and lease agreement affecting said premises, and providing for a new thirty-year lease to Chaparral Aviation, Inc, upon its compliance with Article VIII, Section 2(c) of the City Charter, as more particularly set forth in the Modification of Lease Agreement; and WHEREAS, Chaparral Aviation, Inc. desires to lease additional area, consisting of 1,770 square feet of unimproved ground for automobile parking, adjacent to its present lease site; and WHEREAS, it is agreeable to the parties to the said Modification of Lease Agreement and in the interest of the public by providing additional parking space at the Airport: NOW, THEREFORE, the following amendment to the Modification of Lease Agreement is hereby entered into by and between the parties hereto: That Article I, DESCRIPTION OF LEASED SPACE, be amended by adding the following 1,770 square feet of unimproved area for automobile parking: Beginning at the East corner of the present lease, thence 10 feet in a Southeasterly direction; Thence 90° in a Southwesterly direction for 177 feet; Thence 90° in a Northwesterly direction for 10 feet; Thence 90° in a Northeasterly direction for 177 feet to the place of beginning, Containing 1770 square feet. Except as herein and hereby amended, the. terms, provisions and conditions of the Modification of Lease Agreement shall be and remain in full force and effect.
