OF CORPUS CHRISTI; APPROPRIATING OUT OF THE N0. 220 STREET BOND FUND FOR PROJECT 220-77-20.2, TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT EIGHT (8) INTERSECTIONS, $10,840 FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID EQUIPMENT: AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE.CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That authority is hereby given for the purchase of seven (7) time base traffic signal coordination units from Signal Engineering Company of Corpus Christi to interconnect seven signalized intersections. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the 220 Street Bond Fund for Project No. 220-77-20.2, Traffic Signal Improvements at Eight (8) intersec- tions, the amount of $10,840 for the purchase of said traffic signal control equipment. SECTION 3. The necessity to purchase traffic signal control equipment to coordinate seven (7) signalized intersections throughout the City creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinanc2\or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared such emergency and necessity to exist, and having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance.be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect ant be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, This the23115day o$%LJ/f/ 1980.
