AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING CHAPTER 19 OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE,
1976 REVISION, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 19-129
SO AS TO INCREASE RETAIL MEAT DEALERS LICENSE FEES FROM
$10 TO $20 PER EMPLOYEE, AND AMENDING SECTION 19-142
SO AS TO INCREASE FISH WHOLESALE LICENSE.FEE FROM $25
TO $50 AND FISH RETAIL LICENSE FEE FROM $15 TO $30.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 19 of the Corpus Christi City Code, 1976
Revision, as amended, be amended by amending Section 19-129 so as to increase
retail meal dealers license fees from $10 to $20 per employee, by amending
the last sentence of said section to hereafter read as follows: "The
applicant or applicants for said license shall pay a graduated license fee on
the following basis: Said license fee to be calculated on the basis of $20
per employee employed in any capacity by the said retail meat dealers."
SECTION 2. That Chapter 19 of the Corpus Christi City Code, 1976
Revision, as amended, be amended by amending Section 19-142 so as to increase
fish wholesale license fee from $25 to $50 by amending the first sentence of
the paragraph entitled "Fish wholesaler's license" to hereafter read as
follows: "The director of finance may, upon application, issue to any person
what shall be known as a 'fish wholesaler's license,' upon the payment by
the applicant to the director of finance of a license fee of fifty ($50.00)
payable in cash in advance, and accompanied by affidavit that the person desiring
the license shall maintain and operate a fixed and definite place of business
located in the city."
Amending the first sentence of the paragraph entitled "Fish
retailer's license" so as to increase the license fee from $15 to $30,
said first sentence to hereafter read as follows: "The director of finance
may, upon proper application, issue to any person what shall be known as a
'fish retailer's license,' upon the payment by the applicant to the director
of finance of a license fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) payable in cash and
in advance, and accompanied by affidavit that the person desiring the license
shall maintain and operate a fixed and definite place of business located in
