AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, 1976 REVISION, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-100
LIBRARY -FEES; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of Corpus
Christi, 1976 Revision, be and the same is hereby amended by amending
Section 2-100 Library - Fees, to hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-97 Library - Fees.
Overdue Fees
Each book, phonodisc (records), vertical file item
and document (per day) .05
Each art print, 8mm film, media kit, and A-V
equipment other than 16mm projector (per day) .25
Maximum overdue fee 1/2 price
of item
Overdue fees will be charged beginning on the first day of
each item being overdue.
Other Fees
Lost material charges current
list price of the item
Fee card (non-resident family) (per year) 7.50
Duplicate borrower's card (each) .50
Transaction or book card (each) .102
Signature card (each)
Reader -Printer (each copy) .15 1
Charge for damaged item - actual repair cost
(minimum each) .50
Reservation (per item) .10
Copy machine (each copy after installation of coin -
operating device) .15
SECTION 2. Copy machine charges will be as indicated by the coin -
operating device installed on each individual machine. Orders will be placed
for a 15t vend on all machines currently vending "at a lower rate.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective from and after its
passage and publication.

SECTION 4. If for any treason any secti m , paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction
It shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent
of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause,
phrase, word, or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its
purpose.
SECTION 5. Publication shall be made one time in the official
publication of the City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption of
this ordinance stating in substance the purpose of this ordinance.
