AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 36-5 OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY
CODE, 1976, AS AMENDED, SO AS TO ESTABLISH A NEW
TENNIS COURTS RATES SCHEDULE FOR USE OF THE TENNIS
COURTS AT THE H. E. BUTT TENNIS CENTER AND SOUTH
BLUFF PARK; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 36-5 "Tennis Courts rates Schedule"
of the Corpus Christi City Code, 1976, as amended, be amended to read as
follows:
"Section 36-5. Tennis Courts Rates Schedule.
The rates to be charged as fees for the use of the tennis courts
at the H. E. Butt Tennis Center and the tennis courts at South Bluff Park to
be paid by all users of those city recreational facilities shall be as pres
cribed in the following schedule:
Annual Permits - (Unlimited play except as provided below)
Adults (all individuals except college students
and school children)
College Students
School Children (up through high school grades)
$ 60.00

Family Rate (including husband and wife and all
children 18 years of age and under) 100.00
Semi -Annual (six months) Permits - (Unlimited play
except as provided below)
Adults (all individuals except college students
and school children)
College Students
School Children (up through high school grades)

Family Rates (including husband and wife and all
children 18 years of age or under) 50.00
Summer (three months) Permit - (Unlimited play except
as provided below)
College Students (June, July and August) $ 10.00
Daily Fee
For each 1 and 1/2 hour or fraction thereof
session, per individual, non -permit $ 1.25
Evening Court Fee After 6 P.M. (7 p.m. when day-
light savings time is in effect)
For each 1 and 1/2 hour or fraction thereof
session, per individual:

Permit Holder $ .75
All others 1.75
All permit cards issued shall bear the notation: 'Use of the tennis
courts is permitted only during the hours when the courts are open for public
use and then subject to prior reservation or use.'
All permit cards purchased shall be valid at both H. E. Butt Tennis
Center and South Bluff Park.
The above and foregoing rates shall be paid by all individuals using
tennis courts at H. E. Butt Tennis Center or South Bluff Park. Any use of said
tennis courts without payment of the applicable fee shall be deemed a violation
of this code."
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage and publication.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publica-
tion of the City of Corpus Christi, by publishing the caption of this ordinance,
stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance.
