HomeMy WebLinkAbout15724 ORD - 08/27/1980• JD:vp:8/13/80:1st AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 15468, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN UPGRADE SUPPLEMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT FOR GROUP B DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT WITH TEXAS GOVERN- MENT AND INDUSTRIAL FINANCE, INC., FOR AN ADDITIONAL RENTAL OF $590.00 PER MONTH FOR A TERM OF 36 MONTHS, AND PROVIDING INSTEAD THAT SAID ADDITIONAL RENTAL SHALL BE $636.02 PER MONTH FOR A TERM OF 32 MONTHS, AND $636.14 FOR THE NEXT MONTH THEREAFTER ONLY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance 15468 which authorized the City Manager to execute an upgrade supplement to the lease agreement for Group B data processing equipment with Texas Government and Industrial Finance, Inc. for an additional rental of $590.00 per month for a term of 36 months, be and the same is hereby amended to provide that said additional rental shall be $636.02 per month for a term of 32 months, and $636.14 for the next month thereafter only, commencing according to the terms of said upgrade supplement agreement. SECTION 2. The necessity to immediately amend Ordinance 15468 and authorize the City Manager to execute an upgrade supplement to the lease agreement aforementioned creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the day of August, 1980.
