AMENDING THE CORPUS CHRISTI CITY CODE, 1976 REVISION, AS
AMENDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 21-7. TREE LIMBS, GRASS
CLIPPINGS, ETC., SO AS TO ESTABLISH A BRUSH COLLECTION
SERVICE CHARGE OF $20 PER LOAD FOR EACH LOAD IN EXCESS
OF ONE LOAD; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Corpus Christi City Code, 1976 Revision, as
amended, be amended by amending Section Section 21-7. Tree limbs, grass
clippings, etc., by adding the following sentence thereto:
"Other trash will be collected from collectio service customers
from time to time up to one truck load, and a fee of $20.00 shall be charged
for each additional load after the first load. This provision shall become
effective November 1, 1980."
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction
it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this
City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word
or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.

proposing to amend the City Code,
Section 21-7, Tree Limbs, Grass Clippings, Etc., to establish a brush
collection service charge in excess of one load, read on the first of three
readings on August 13, 1980, be amended prior to the second reading so as
toprovide the effective date of November 1, 1980, said sentence to be
added to Section 1, reading as follows:
"This provision shall become effective November 1, 1980."
