HomeMy WebLinkAbout15857 RES - 10/29/1980t. 1 •• • r A� A RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi has sought to establish a major park facility in the Flour Bluff area; and • WHEREAS, a 20 acre tract described as lot 11, Section'50; Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, owned by Nueces County has been available • •for this purpose; and • `WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court of Nueces County on April 17, 1972,• did declare said lot 11 a public park to be developed and maintained by the City of Corpus Christi in;perpetuity; and WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi has not expended monies for the development of said 20 acre park and no such development has occurred;• and ' WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15517 passed and approved by'the City Council 'on May 7, 1980, provides an exception to the standards and regulations for -••' the dedication of suitable sites for parks and playgrounds in the case of . a replat of an existing plat, subdivision or addition that has previously . set aside park requirements: s �*b • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY "OF, CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: Section 1. The public park on lot 11, Section 50, Flour Bluff and ' Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts is hereby declared and determined to con- stitute previously set aside park land as contemplated by the 'Platting Ordinance, Section IV, Subsection°F - PARKS AND PLAYGROUNDS, in paragraph 1(d) thereof, as amended by ordinance no. 15517. Section 2. The existing plat, subdivision, or addition served by said public park is determined to be lots 4, 5, 6, 12 and 13 of Section 50, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts. Section 3. The owners of said lots, when said lots are subdivid@d, and replatted for residential development, may elect to pay into the City's Park Development Fund monies equivalent to the raw land value of"five percent Pt (51) of the acreage of such subdivisions in lieu''bf,land 'dedication. Section 4. Such monies shall be used for the development of park improvements in the public park on lot 11, Section 50, Flour Bluff and • Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts. 15857 LER.
