AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CHANGE ORDER TO
THE CONTRACT WITH B F W CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR TONSTRUC-
TION OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI COMMUNITY CONVENTION CENTER WHICH
PROVIDES FOR INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL CIRCUITRY,
A SUBSTANTIAL COPY OF WHICH CHANGE ORDER IS ATTACHED HERETO
AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; APPROPRIATING

'$20,275.02 OUT OF THE NO. 209 COMMUNITY CONVENTION FACILITY
BOND FUND APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 209-76-1.3, CONVENTION
CENTER CONSTRUCTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
' TEXAS:

SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
execute a Change Order to the contract with B F W Construction Company for
construction of the Corpus Christi Community Convention Center which provides
for installation of additional electrical circuitry, a substantial copy of
which Change Order is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $20,275.02
out of the No. 209 Community Convention Facility Bond Fund applicable to
Project No. 209-76-1.3, Convention Center Construction.
SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the aforesaid
Change Order and the appropriation of said sums creates a public emergency
and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter
rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of
is introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three
several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such
emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter
rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction
and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT
IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the /i day of November, 1980.

ATTACHMENT FOR CHANGE ORDER NO. 32

Project # 03-75012
1. Connect to MSB -7C, spare 200 ampere switch (fuse - 115A) in Main
Switchboard "MSB" in Main Mechanical Room (E-6), 4-#2 THW, 1-1/2"
conduit and extend up to Storage Room 201 (E-13, E-14). In Room
201, install a 75 KVA transformer (480 volt to 120/280 volt, 3 phase,
4 wire) and feed transformer with feeder from MSB -7C. Install a
200 ampere, 3P, 3F, S/N switch (fuse - 200 A) at transformer. From
switch, install 4 - #250 MCM, THW, 2-1/2" conduit to a 200 ampere, 3P,
3F, S/N switch in Room 202 (E-14) $ .6,522.31
2. On bus duct, located near column line 5 and at column line H
(Parking Level Plan "A", E-3), install a 400 ampere, 3 Pole,
circuit breaker. From this breaker extend 8 - #250 MCM, THW,
3-1/2" conduit along column line H down to column line 4 and
rise to First Level Plan "A" (E-8). At column lines 4 and H
on the First Level, install a 400 ampere, 3P, 3F, S/N switch
and connect to new feeder. Switch is to be located in
Exhibition Hall $ 4,306.64
3. 30 - 20 amp circuits, three pin locking female connectors flush
mounted in ceiling and terminate in Room 201. The 3 pin
connectors shall be similar to the ones used in the Auditorium.
Circuit termination panel wall mounted Room 201. 6'.0" retractable
cable with neoprene roller guides with 3 pin male connectors.
Circuits 1-30 located as per drawings. Circuits 31 to 40
refer to page E-14 of the contract documents.
Change 10 outlets which terminate at switch bank "N" to terminate
at the new circuit termination panel in Room 201. See attached
drawing for additional notes and details $ 4,817.00
4. To add support pipe for road show lights above the ceiling
in the Banquet/Assembly Room 203 $ 1,984.50
TOTAL ADD $17,630.45
PLUS 15% OVERHEAD AND PROFIT $ 2,644.57
TOTAL ADD THIS CHANGE ORDER $20,275.02

public emergency and imperative necessity exist for the suspension of the Charter
rule or requirement that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on
the date it is introduced, and that such ordinance or resolution shall be read
at three meetings of the City Council; I, therefore, request that you suspend
said Charter rule or requirement and pass this ordinance finally on the date it
is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
