HomeMy WebLinkAbout15888 ORD - 11/19/1980jkh:11-19-80;lst J AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 3 TO THE CONTRACT WITH M & M CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE PARKING LOT AND ACCESS ROAD AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WHICH PROVIDE FOR TWO HEADWALLS AND A CONCRETE FLUME ALONG THE ACCESS ROAD, A COPY OF WHICH CHANGE ORDER IS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF, MARKED EXHIBIT "A"; APPROPRIATING $2,500 OUT OF THE NO. 245 AIRPORT BOND FUND APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 245-77-2, MAIN PARKING LOT EXPANSION AND ACCESS ROAD CONSTRUCTION (FAA PROJECT NO. ADAP6-48-0051-6); AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 3 to the contract with M & M Construction Company for construction of the parking lot and access road at the Corpus Christi International Airport which provides for two headwalls and a concrete flume along the access road, a substantial copy of which Change Order No. 3 is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the No. 245 Airport Bond Fund the sum of $2,500 applicable to Project No. 245-77-2, Main Parking Lot Expansion and Access Road Construction (FAA Project No. ADAP 6-48-0051-6). SECTION 3. The necessity to authorize execution of the aforesaid change order and the appropriation of said sums at the earliest practicable date creates a public emergency and an imperative public necessity requiring the suspension of the Charter rule that no ordinance or resolution shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction but that such ordinance or resolution shall be read at three several meetings of the City Council, and the Mayor having declared that such emergency and necessity exist, having requested the suspension of the Charter rule and that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction and take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, IT IS ACCORDINGLY SO ORDAINED, this the 19 day of November, 1980.
